Capsular transparency

  Reinforced anti-PCO features

360° barrier and square edge: Akreos MI60 incorporates the same attributes as its Akreos predecessors in resisting PCO. Its 10° angulation is a further improvement, reinforcing the lens contact with the posterior capsule.

Early capsular adhesion and durable capsular transparency

An early symphysis contributes to preserve the capsular bag transparency that is observed behind the lens optic.
• Adhesion of anterior and posterior capsules is achieved very quickly.
• It is visible on retro-illuminated pictures 2 weeks after surgery(1).

Results in line with the best performing IOL

The analysis of the retro-illuminated pictures with the EPCO software has shown low scores of posterior capsular opacification after 1 year.
