Stability over time

  4 haptics
A factor of stability already proven with Akreos Adapt.

3-dimensional stability
With its innovative design the Akreos MI60 lens allows for the absorption of forces in 3 dimensions and stays centred.

Optimised post-operative behaviour
The Akreos MI60 lens is stabilised in the capsular bag without transferring contraction forces to the optic.

Shaped to fit the capsular anatomy
The overall diameter of the Akreos MI60 lens varies with the range of dioptres for consistent stability in the myopic, emmetropic and hyperopic capsular bags.

Centration over time
With a mean decentration of 0.11mm at one year (1), Akreos MI60 confirms its stabiliy in the capsular bag and compares favourably with the mean decentration reported with C-loop designs, which varies from 0.3 to 0.5mm depending on authors.

Anterior-posterior stability
Akreos MI-60 also demonstrates excellent anterior-posterior stability, as shown by the refractive results observed in the early post-operative period and up to 1 year after surgery(1).

Predictible and durable visual acuity
In a pilot study, 20 eyes implanted with Akreos MI-60 resulted in good predictability of refractive results and provided patients with a rapid recovery and return to excellent and durable visual acuity(1).
